Eagle Feather – American Indian Cultural Exchange was founded by Lakota family members Leslie and Colleen with a shared vision: to create meaningful international opportunities for Native people to share their art, stories, knowledge and contemporary cultures in their own voices.
Eagle Feather begins with our Lakota roots while welcoming artists, storytellers, educators, entrepreneurs and cultural representatives from American Indian Nations across the United States.

For us, Eagle Feather also represents a bridge—carrying Native voices, artistry, knowledge and stories across borders while keeping their ownership and meaning with the people they come from.
Our name reflects the responsibility we carry: to build opportunities with respect, reciprocity and Native voices at the center.

Why Manchester? A Historic Connection
In 1887–88, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West brought Native performers, including Lakota people, to the Salford and Manchester area - creating an unexpected historical connection between our communities.
More than a century later, Eagle Feather seeks to build a new kind of connection: one led by Native voices and grounded in respect, reciprocity and opportunity.
