Leslie Brave is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, a healthcare professional, entrepreneur, writer and community advocate whose work has long centered on healing, connection and creating meaningful opportunities for others.
As Co-Founder of Eagle Feather – American Indian Cultural Exchange, Leslie helps shape the organization’s vision, partnerships and community relationships, ensuring Native people represent their cultures, histories and experiences in their own voices.
Her background in acupuncture and wellness informs her emphasis on listening, relationship-building and lived experience. As a Lakota woman, she deeply values family history, storytelling, cultural preservation and the importance of passing knowledge and traditions to future generations.
Through Eagle Feather, Leslie works to create thoughtful cultural exchanges connecting Native communities with organizations, educators and communities abroad while protecting authenticity, dignity and Native ownership of cultural knowledge.
